Fortress Kale Buzovo

The remains of the fortress Buzovo still can be seen today near the village Buzovgrad and the megalith The door of the mother Goddess. It was built  5the century AD and was used during the Second Bulgarian kingdom for protection. It has the shape of an irregular quadrangle and is located at 560 meters above sea level. The fortress has surrounded a space of 17 acres. It’s walls today are almost completely destroyed. Only in some places, there are remnants of the wall with a height of up to 3 – 3,5 meters.
