Off road in the Rhodopes

Smolyan 4×4 offers off road experiences in the Rhodopes. The starting point of the tours can be Smolyan, Pamporovo or another place in the region.
Enjoy a real adventure with high-pass machines on the paths and woodland of the Rhodopes, leading to the most beautiful sights and panoramic views.

PRICES AND ROUTES
1. Smolyan – Pamporovo – Smolyan
35 km. 3-4 hours 80 BGN
30 km of clear road with slight obstacles. It passes through Smolyan lakes, through one of the slopes of Pamporovo ski resort and Snezhanka peak (the television tower). It reaches the center of Pamporovo. The return is via Menchov Chukar, the old road to the village of Levočevo and the White Stone. Great views and landscapes from the high parts of the route are revealed. Optional – outdoor lunch.

2. Pamporovo – Smolyan – Pamporovo
35 km. 3-4 hours 90 leva
30km. A black road with slight extremes. It passes through Menchov Chukar, White Stone, the old road to the village of Levochevo, the Smolyan lakes and Snejanka peak (the television tower). On the forest roads, we return back to Pamporovo. Great views and landscapes are revealed along the high sides of the route. Optional – outdoor lunch.

3. Pamporovo / Smolyan – Orpheus rocks (panoramic view)
12 km. 2-3 hours 90 / 80lv.
12 km. Forest paths, a gentle trail with beautiful views, passing by the dam of Pamporovo, part of the tourist track and century-old spruce forest. For security reasons, the panorama is reached on foot for 10 minutes. There is a great view of Smolyan Lakes, Perelik, and Kayininski Rid. Wishes – lunch in a forest gazebo.

4. Pamporovo / Smolyan – Stoykite

Beautiful and light forest roads crossing the ski slopes of Pamporovo with scary views. A walk around the village of Stoykite and return by a bypass. Optional – lunch in the open to one of the chapels in the village of Stoykite.

5.Pamporovo / Smolyan – village of Gella (fortress and basilica)

22 km. 3-4 hours 100/90 BGN
Beautiful forest roads crossing the main ski slopes and a continuation of the cross-country ski run at the foot of Mount Perelik above the villages of Solishta, Sticil and Gela. Visiting the oldest Thracian fortress, the Basilica and the birthplace of Orpheus. Around the village of Gela and return by a bypass. For those wishing to see the fortress, walk for about 10 minutes. Optional – lunch at an exotic place or in the village of Gela.

6. Pamporovo / Smolyan – Shiroka Luka

A very exotic and interesting route, passing through centuries-old virgin forests along the ridge from Mechi Chal to the villages of Kukuvica and Varbovo over Shiroka laka. Walk around the village and take a stroll through the village of Stoykite along the forest roads to Pamporovo. Wishes – lunch in a forest gazebo or a local restaurant in Shiroka laka.

7. Pamporovo / Smolyan – The monument of Colonel Sarafimov

Route passing through the village of Varadhal in the village of Fatovo and visiting the little ship Shipka (Monument to the Liberator of the Rhodope Mountains). Lunch at your choice in the open.

8. Pamporovo / Smolyan – Rozhen Observatory
30/45 km. 3-4 hours 80/90 BGN
Passing through beautiful passages from the old road to the village of Levochevo, Rozhen meadows and a visit to Rozhen Observatory. The price does not include any fees for visits. Lunch – on request in the open or in the restaurant of Rozhen Hotel.

9. Pamporovo / Smolyan – Haidushki Polyani
40 km. 4 hours 90/100 BGN
Extremely fun and beautiful transition through the Rozhen meadows, the “Kartola” area, Momchil yunak hut and several beautiful lakes. Rest of Haidushki meadows with lunch by the lake – optional and return back by the bypass route.

10. Pamporovo / Smolyan – Cross Forest

Few forest roads, more asphalt with a visit to the Temple, Cross, and healing springs of the Forest of Krustova. Lunch outdoors or in the village of Borovo of your choice.

11. Pamporovo / Smolyan – peak Perelik
40 km. 3 hours 90 BGN
A beautiful and inspiring route with breathtaking views of the Balkan Mountains to the northern territories of Greece. Wide and beautiful forest roads and extensive pastures at a height of 2000 m. Outdoor lunches are recommended.

12. Pamporovo / Smolyan – The waterfall canyon
35 km. 2-6 hours
Especially for this route is:
The off-road tour is at the beginning of the eco-path “The Canyon of the Waterfalls” along forest roads. For those who want to see the waterfalls, it is necessary to make a preliminary determination of where and how many hours to take, because the transition is long and extreme. The takeover can take place either from the same place or from an upper endpoint – the road to Mount Perelik.

13. Pamporovo / Smolyan – Momchilova fortress

Through forest roads and diverse terrains, meadows and pastures through the “Card” to the village where the cult fortress of Momchil Yunak is located. The price does not include the fees for visiting the fortress. Lunch – on request and on a roundabout. There is an evening version when they project a film on the rock itself.

14. Pamporovo / Smolyan – Gorna Arda – The Springs of Arda

A long and extremely fun route. Steep slopes and climbs, crossing the town of Smolyan, riding along the ridge above the Adriatic bed and the river Cherna to our border with Greece. Option to extend the route by visiting the Kaleto area and the Uhlovitsa cave. The price does not include fees for visiting the sites. Because of the length of the itinerary, it is advisable to arrange for lunch. The villages in the Ardinska river are well-known with the Smilyan beans.

15. Pamporovo / Smolyan – Uhlovitsa cave and Kaleto fortress
70 km. 4-5 hours 100/90 BGN
A long and spectacular route with a visit to the Uhlovitsa Cave and the Kaleto Fortress. Some of the most beautiful places in the Rhodope Mountains – the Ardino valley, famous for its hospitality, Smilyan beans, and delicious Rhodope cuisine. A prior arrangement for lunch is desirable. The price does not include fees for attraction.

16. Smolyan – Snezhanka peak – Smolyan
30 km. 3-4 hours 80 BGN
One of the most exciting routes along the Smolyan lakes and filled with many adrenaline and unforgettable moments. Option for lunch in the open, and in bad weather – in a restaurant next to the tower itself.

17. Pamporovo / Smolyan – the tomb of Rufinka

Extremely picturesque transition passing through Kremene, Popplka, the Riffinka grave, Nadarska cave and Kiselchov waterfall. Lunch in the open if you wish

18. Smolyan / Pamporovo – The Red Rock (panoramic view) – Smolyan

Extremely breathtaking and breathtaking views. There are about 10 minutes walking to the cliff. Option -At outdoor dinner.

19. Smolyan / Pamporovo – Mugla Chairi lakes Trigrad
