The Srebrov’s House in Shumen again works as a museum. It is one of the most interesting architectural monuments in the town from the Bulgarian Renaissance era. The rooms have been furnished and arranged according to the traditions of the different ethnicities living in the city. Today guests will find elements of Armenian, Russian and Jewish culture in the interior.
In addition to the museum, the home of Revival teacher Dimitar Srebrov, built in 1872, is also open to any events such as weddings or other family celebrations. In the place of the tavern in the Renaissance house, a winery for tastings and events is now equipped.
It also works as a retro photo. And this is no accident because the Srebrov’s House was the photographer’s studio of the teacher’s uncle. So every guest of Shumen can now take a picture of his memory in Turkish, Armenian or Roma costume. Or take a photo in a bridal dress that is more than a century old.
The Silver House runs from 8.30 a.m. to 05.30 p.m., but in the summer and on request, working hours can be extended. No Records Found
